Seller obligations
Sellers must state material sale and return terms before payment, provide the item shown and described, package it safely, ship to the confirmed address, and provide tracking when shipping is promised.
Sellers must honor non-waivable consumer rights and promptly address non-delivery, damage, counterfeit, wrong-item, and materially-not-as-described claims. A seller may not use a no-return label to avoid a remedy required by law or payment-network rules.
Buyer obligations
Buyers should inspect delivery promptly, preserve packaging and item evidence, and contact the seller with a specific explanation and photos when appropriate. Buyers must not file false claims, substitute items, manipulate evidence, or seek duplicate recovery.
HaloVault's role
HaloVault may preserve records, provide transaction information, restrict an account, or help the parties communicate, but is not the item's seller, a court, an authenticator, or a guarantor of either party.
Stripe, card networks, banks, and applicable law may control payment disputes, refund timing, and chargeback outcomes. HaloWitness or shipping evidence may support a review but does not conclusively decide ownership, authenticity, condition, delivery, or liability.
