BEFORE YOU BUY

Six things to check.

  1. 01

    Exact model

Match the model label, not just the listing title. Similar-looking fi-series scanners can need different profiles.

  2. 02

    Power and cables

Ask for photos of the correct AC adapter, power cable and USB cable. “No adapter” means the unit is incomplete.

  3. 03

    Feed tray and rollers

Check that the feed tray is present. Ask about roller condition, scan count, jams and maintenance.

  4. 04

    Front and back test

Request a recent duplex sample. Look for streaks, missing sides, skew and double feeds.

  5. 05

    Computer and driver

Confirm your Windows computer, official driver and HaloVault capture profile before purchasing. A USB connection alone does not prove compatibility.

  6. 06

    Returns and total cost

Read the seller’s return terms. Include replacement accessories, consumables, shipping and tax in your comparison.

THE PHYSICAL CARD COMES FIRST

Confirm. Calibrate.
Then capture.

Confirm the deviceTest front + backReview the record

HaloVault’s Windows Scan Station uses a device-specific setup and confirmed front/back mapping.

The documented feeder lanes include the Fujitsu fi-6130Z and RICOH/Fujitsu fi-7260. That does not qualify every fi-series model. Confirm the exact scanner and capture route with HaloVault before buying for this workflow.

Document-scanner specifications do not guarantee safe feeding for every collectible. Photograph valuable, fragile, slabbed or otherwise unsuitable cards with your phone, or use a confirmed flatbed setup.
